Volunteer Positions

**Special Events Volunteers Needed**
One night only, October 9
(see below)

High school and college students are especially encouraged to join us as volunteers.

Community involvement looks great on a college or job resume, and you get a chance to "test drive" your interests before you declare a major or start a career.

Or maybe your high school days were a few decades back. No problem! Main Street is a community organization, and so we welcome community members of all ages.

If you have no prior experience in a given field, or not as much as you would like, no problem. Our staff is here to get you started with the tools we're already using.

Saturday Night on Main Street
Oct 9, 2010, 4-11pm

This event draws 4000 people to downtown Marengo, so we need plenty of hands on deck.

You can join us for an hour or all night long. We need folks to help with:

  • setup (picnic tables, hay bales, trash cans, tents, electrical connections, etc.) from 4-6pm

  • selling raffle tickets (all night). Walk the streets, have fun, and help us raise some revenue

  • Main Street tent and "info booth." Open all night from 4-10pm. Sell raffle tickets, answer questions about Main Street, assist exhibitors as needed

  • cleanup from 10-11pm
